The internet is doomed to fail!

In 1995 an article in Newsweek prophesied that the internet was doomed to fail and that we would all soon tire of it.

  1. This is just too funny. For me the question would be how would I survive without my Internet?

  2. My grandfather was dead set that television was a fad when it came out. Who knows? It(the internet) will and does evolve. Internet connection is becoming necessary for TV now; internet on blu-rays to play Netflix and other streaming players.

  4. At this point, I'm not sure what I'll do without the Internet! We already don't have TV :) But, like Lucy said, it might just be like TV. I think though the Internet will evolve into something more portable -- maybe a chip in our head. Kind of scary but the way it's going and how people use it, not only is it getting smaller and people who's gotten a taste of it has gotten dependent on it. In the future, esp. for the kids of this generation, it's probably going to be like not wearing shoes when going out if the Internet isn't right with them.
